Effective application of Accounting information procedure is sine-qua-non to the success of any organisation. It determines the basis for continuity and enhance general growth of the organisation.
This research work focused on the extent to which accounting information system can be used in supermarket using Juli Pharmaceutical Nigeria Ltd, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State as a case study.
This research study examined the effective role of Accounting procedure on a supermarket and in business organisation as a whole. This project is proposed on the role of accounting information system on a supermarket. It is obvious from this write – up that accounting information system is not only important on a supermarket but also in all business organisations whatever form it can be, be it a small or big industry. The industrial growth and expansion call for introduction of proper accounting information system to be able to stand the test of time. It emphases on the importance of stock management, inventory system control, management system control, payroll system, sales management system and recruitment system.
Accounting information system has also developed with time and in modern days, accounting information system has unique qualities of both versality and diligence. It has also helped accountants in dealing with any problem in organisation so as to achieve accountability and accuracy.
From my findings so far, up to this stage, accounting information system has not only made an impact but also credible contribution on business organisation as a whole. The role of accounting information system in businesses, firms are on the increase and the system brings increase in productivity, efficiency and accuracy of financial statements.
